Just as each picture is different, so is the way to it and sometimes it seems that destiny gives different elements at the same time and we put them together. This is true of the picture of 'The two sisters'. Firstly, I was studying the work of the Impressionist painter Mary Cassat and then I found out that my sister was moving to another city. Because of the distance that would separate us, I felt that I had to paint a picture which would represent how united we had always been,we are sisters, a picture that would always show what happens in our heart: we are still sitting next to each other as we used to on the grass of the village where we were born. Despite the special nature of the subject, I never forget that art must be conceived for the human heart and I have tried to extract the fundamental elements which reflect the magic in a sincere relationship between brothers and sisters, anyone who sees these two girls doesn't need to read the title, you know they are sisters.
